Hoy me siento realmente inspirado por el buen reggae y si vamos ha hablar de reggae, rocksteady,soul y el black sound en general que mejor que hablar del gran Pat Kelly.
Este gran cantante nació en Kingston, Jamaica en el año 1949 y junto a Slim Smith y Brunce Ruffin formaron parte de uno de los grupos mejor exponentes del rocksteady, los Techniques. Grupo que en su primera fase realizaba varios covers de grupos soul como The Impressions con éxitos tales como "you don't care" o "you'll Want me back" hasta que Pat Kelly empieza a realizar sus propios temas como "love is not gamble" todo esto por el año 1968

En 1969 decide comenzar con algo mas instrumenal y ahí cuando publica por ejemplo un tema bastante diferente a lo que estaba realizando y cargado de estilo propio como lo es "dark end of the street" luego "Since you're Gone" entre otros grandes éxitos que grabo con el sello Pama.
Luego registró material con connotados exponentes como para bunny Lee y Lee "Scratch" Perry.Ya para 1972 realiza otras grabaciones con temas como "Soulful Love" y "Talk About Love" registradas con Duke Reid y que lo llevo a una faceta completamente distinta del sonido que tenia en sus comienzos
Pat Kelly paso del mejor early reggae a una etapa mas bien lovers y roots.

Aquí les dejo uno de los temas que en mi opinión es una de las mejores joyas de una de las mejores voces del reggae...
