Dandy Livingstone

Dandy Livigstone , gran músico de origen jamaicano pero que sin embargo realizó su carrera musical en Inglaterra.
Todo comenzó cuando un sello ondinenese buscaba un dúo de vocalistas jamaicanos, Dandy postuló grabando un su propia voz a dos bandas, lanzando el disco bajo el nombre de Sugar & Dandy. Uno de los singles de este disco "What a Life", vedió 25.000 copias, lo que significó el primer hit de Livingstone. Cuando necesitaba hacer presentaciones en vivo, Roy Smith hacía la segunda voz del dúo, hasta que fue remplazado por Tito "Sugar" Simone.
En 1967, Livingstone firmó con Ska Beat Records, con los que grabó su primer disco al año siguiente: "Rocksteady with Dandy". Su single de 1967, "Rudy A Message to You," fue top 50 en el Reino Unido y con el tiempo se convertiría en un clásico del ska, grabado por bandas legendarias como los ingleses The Specials o los argentinos Fabulosos Cadillacs.

Joe the boss...the productions of joe mansano

Joe Mansano nació en Trinidad y Tobago, se trasladó al Reino Unido en 1963 para estudiar las cuentas, se convirtió en un productor de discos y en 1980 regresó a su país.
En el Reino Unido en el mundo del reggae es mejor conocido por su trabajo de producción de Trojan Records , la compañía que le ofreció también un sello discográfico, llamado Joe. Con Rico Rodríguez en el trombón produjo un LP Brixton Cat en 1969.
En el re-lanzamiento de la Mansano LP no fue informado hasta que llegó a Inglaterra en 2002. Negociando con Sanctuary Records estaban de acuerdo sobre las regalías y la liberación de una recopilación de su obra el 7" de las partes que habían quedado de impresión.
Joe The Boss fue lanzado en noviembre de 2006 y contiene varias canciones con Rico en trombón que no estaban disponibles.
